What is the Servant of the Lake Demo secret?
Follow the bird. Official Demo / Lite copy. We do not publish an invented room path.
Servant of the Lake secrets: follow the Demo bird, set the clock to 3:05 after Kate’s letter for You Found Him, then catch Day 1 missables. Extra rooms TBA.
Bird path, Kate 3:05, missable weekend beats.
~11 min read
This Servant of the Lake secrets page is the missable map for Servant of the Lake by Rusty Lake: the official Demo line follow the bird, the hidden You Found Him clock at 3:05 after Kate’s letter, and the Day 1 Steam names you can walk past while being a good servant. Extra rooms around that clock stay community-observed / TBA — we will not invent a hidden-floor plan. Pair the 49-goal list with achievements. Verified August 16, 2026 · Steam.
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Platform | Steam (Windows / macOS) · iOS · Android · itch.io |
| Genre | Premium point-and-click adventure · Rusty Lake: Roots prequel |
| Mode | Single-player |
| Typical run | About 4–5 hours of chores — secrets sit beside that, not instead of it |
| Achievements | 49 Steam achievements |
| Demo secret | Official: follow the bird (Demo / Lite) |
| Hidden clock | You Found Him — Kate’s letter, then Aldous clock 3:05 (community-observed) |
| Combat | None — no hidden combat wing, no Roblox codes, no build layer |
Official copy on the game site is one sentence: follow the bird. That is the published Demo / Lite secret, not a combat encounter and not a second house. If your build fades after Aldous is dressed, you were in the sample — the bird belongs in that slice, not on a Day 2 page the Demo will never load.

| Bird-shaped beat | Where it lives | Treat as |
|---|---|---|
| Follow the bird | Demo / Lite — official site line | The Demo secret. Path rooms stay TBA; do not invent a wing |
| Window bird (ear lobe) | Day 1 breakfast after the shave | Community-observed chore chain for berries — not the Demo secret |
| Chase away the Crow | Night, Day 1 — named Steam goal | A missable achievement. Click order TBA |
Rusty Lake told Demo and Lite players to follow the bird. Community notes treat that as a hidden path you can miss if you only cook and shave. We will not number unlabeled trees or claim a reward chest at the end of a route we have not re-clicked. If a hotspot is a bird and it moves, follow it. If a guide starts drawing a second estate, it is guessing.
Keep the ear lobe after the shave. Community-observed: the breakfast window bird pays a key so you can finish porridge. That is the Day 1 kitchen chain, logged under Preparing Breakfast, not a hidden ending. Night’s Chase away the Crow is a Steam name on the 49-list. The Demo secret is the third thing: follow the bird as published. Mixing them is how people “miss” a secret they already spent on oats.
Buying the game does not retire the line. The same house still has birds. Hunt the Demo secret when chores are stable, not while the pot is empty — the beginner guide is explicit about that order. If you only wanted the sample clear, you are done after the bird. If you wanted You Found Him, you need the letter after the weekend, not a Demo skip.
The clock that is not 7:00 is the next secret, and it is easy to break the opening morning if you set it too soon.
You Found Him is the hidden clock beat. Community reports (Reddit-checked against the Waking Up Aldous chapter) agree on the spine: finish the weekend, read Kate’s letter, go back into Waking Up Aldous, and change the bedroom clock from 7:00 to 3:05. Extra rooms that open after that time stay TBA. We will not draw a post-game floor plan.

| Clock | When you set it | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| 7:00 | First Waking Up Aldous — hire morning | Required wake. Waking up Aldous on Steam |
| 3:05 | Return visit after Kate’s letter | Hidden You Found Him. Community-observed |
| Portrait 235 | Hall paintings, not this clock | Sugar box — puzzles, not a secret time |
Kate is the maid / letter beat, not a Vanderboom you dress in the morning. Community notes tie You Found Him to her brother. The letter is the hint that the time you already know (7:00) is the wrong time for this hunt. If you have not seen the letter, you are not late — you are early. Finish the servant weekend, then come back. Extra biography for Kate stays on characters; spoiler-light prequel context on story.
Waking Up Aldous is a chapter you already cleared. The hidden achievement reuses that room. That is why overwriting 7:00 on pass one feels like a bug: the chapter still wants the wake time until the letter exists. Community-observed steps stop at set 3:05. What sits behind the new time — a room, a figure, a short scene — is TBA. A guide that names unmarked doors after 3:05 is inventing a map we refused to write.
The Day 1 clock line is 7:00. Set 3:05 then and Aldous stays down while guests eventually want a hall. That is not You Found Him; that is a stalled hire. If the morning already broke, tips covers the 7:00 restore. Hunt this secret after the letter, then tick it on achievements.
Once the clock is honest, Day 1 still has named missables that fire whether or not you ever come back at 3:05.
These names are on public Steam / community Day 1 lists we will stand behind. A named goal is not the same as a fully clicked trigger. Where the click order is still unverified, the row says so — that is the point of this table, not a promise that every hotspot is mapped.
| Steam / community name | When | What is verified |
|---|---|---|
| Follow the bird | Demo / Lite (official copy) | Official: follow the bird. Room path TBA |
| Petting the Horse | Morning, Day 1 · yard (recorded path ~16:05) | Pet / feed the horse. Missable; not required to finish the day |
| Pet cat / feed dead mouse | Opening kitchen | Mouse → cat → matches is the breakfast chain. Petting Rustie is a separate optional click |
| Ruining the Bouquet | Afternoon, Day 1 | Achievement name verified. Petal / vase order TBA → puzzles |
| Searching the Attic | Night, Day 1 (recorded path ~28:48) | Go upstairs when night opens. Inner crate / room order TBA |
| Chase away the Crow | Night, Day 1 | Named on Steam. How many clicks, which window — TBA |
| You Found Him | After Kate’s letter · Waking Up Aldous | Set clock 3:05. Extra rooms TBA |
Petting the Horse is a Morning Day 1 Steam goal. Walk the yard when you have a window — community stamps put the horse near the afternoon yard beat even though the achievement list tags morning. Pet or feed; do not invent a carrot recipe. The cat (Rustie) takes a dead mouse from a wall hole so the matches appear. That trade is how breakfast starts, so it is easy to treat as a chore. Petting the cat without the mouse is the secret-feeling click; it does not replace the trade. Neither animal is a pet system, a mount, or a combat companion.
Ruining the Bouquet is the flower missable on the afternoon list. The garden / vase layout belongs on puzzles and stays TBA here until a step list exists. Searching the Attic fires because you go to the attic at night, not because you guessed a crate combo. Chase away the Crow is the night bird you scare, not the Demo follow-path. If a hotspot is obvious, use it. If a page numbers unlabeled beams, close it.
The Arrival, Preparing Breakfast, Waking up Aldous, Exercising with Mr. Aldous, Preparing the Reception, Welcoming the Guests, Opening the Reunion, Serving Tea, The Night Watch, Checking for Intruders, and Small Repairs are Day 1 names you get by doing the job. They live on achievements and Day 1. This page only keeps the ones you can skip while still looking employed.
Everything else people screenshot as a “secret room” is the next section — labeled TBA so a first weekend does not stall on fiction.

A secret page that invents floors is worse than a short one. These rows are real searches. We will not fill them with a map we have not verified.

| Claim | Status | What we will not write |
|---|---|---|
| Rooms after 3:05 | Community-observed / TBA | No hidden-floor IDs, no unmarked door list |
| Easter egg box 728 | Community-observed | No version, reward, or missable flag until re-clicked |
| Servant’s Notes (official site) | Need in-game hidden slips to unlock | Slip locations TBA — official site |
| Bouquet click order | Name verified; layout TBA | No petal diagram on this page |
| Crow / attic inner order | Names verified; pixels TBA | No crate sequence, no click-count |
| Day 3 / post-game routes | Community-observed | Curtains and late crows are stamps, not a dungeon map |
Community notes mention a locked / easter-egg box with code 728. Portrait 235 is a different lock — counted on the paintings, used for sugar, documented on puzzles. Do not type 728 into the portrait box and call it a secret. Until someone re-runs which box, which chapter, and what comes out, 728 stays community-observed. Same rule as 3:05’s extra rooms: a number without a room is not a guide.
The official game site advertises Servant’s Notes. Access wants hidden in-game slips collected first. That is a real hook. The slips’ rooms are TBA. We will not scatter fake paper icons across a house plan we do not have. If you are hunting notes, play the rooms you can already see, keep the notebook, and treat a blank official-notes gate as “not found yet,” not as a missing combat dungeon.
The recorded full path closes curtains late. Night Day 1 already named The Night Watch and Checking for Intruders. None of that licenses a hand-drawn third floor. Day 3 stays off the P0 map on purpose; the walkthrough index says the same. When a trigger is confirmed, it will land in the table above — not in a speculative gallery.
If you came here from a search for servant of the lake secrets, you now have the bird, 3:05, and the Day 1 missable names. Unmapped rooms stay empty until they are not.
Follow the bird. Official Demo / Lite copy. We do not publish an invented room path.
Community-observed: finish the weekend, read Kate’s letter, return to Waking Up Aldous, set the clock to 3:05. Extra rooms TBA.

Yard on Day 1 — pet or feed the horse. Named Steam goal, missable, not required to finish the day.
Petting Rustie is an optional click. Feeding the dead mouse is the matches trade for breakfast — do both if you care; do not skip the mouse.
Night, Day 1. The Steam name is verified. Exact click order stays TBA.
Afternoon Day 1 Steam name. Flower layout is TBA on the puzzles page — this page will not fake a vase order.

Community-observed easter-egg box. Not the portrait lock (that is 235). Reward and timing TBA.
